Since 1977 Kurt Salierno has been involved in working with the poor and homeless across the country.  He has seen God work in the lives of drug addicts, drunks, prostitutes and thieves.  Kurt has, for years, slept on the streets himself developing relationships with the homeless in order to help them get off the streets.  Although Kurt stutters, he effectively communicates his love and concern for the homeless and poor.  Kurt uses his carpentry skills in helping homeless shelters and ministries across the country.  Kurt's motto: "help those who help others" in the name of Jesus.

Together we can make a difference!

LIVING ON SKID ROW   by Kurt Salierno

Sharing God's love and empowering others in the darkest crevices of our nation's streets become a reality through the teachings in Living on Skid Row. Author Kurt Salierno reports from the back alleys and under the bridges to prove how God's children represent perfect mercy and perfect healing for the least of these. Each story illustrates the blistering challenges of homelessness while ultimately portraying the imminent light of service and devotion. Poverty, addiction, prostitution, and isolation describe the harsh experiences that Kurt ministers to on skid row.  For over 30 years Kurt Salierno walked the streets ministering to the homeless in a unique and inspiring way.  His total dependence on Jesus is evidence in each story.  A collection that's easy to follow with spiritual instruction to live by, Living on Skid Row engages all ages with testimony and triumph.

It was early in the morning when I woke up. The night before I had made my bed in a garbage bin, so waking up before the garbage truck arrived was important! Many bums have been killed because they were thrown into the garbage truck when the garbage bin was emptied. - From "The Harmonica" a chapter in the book.

Living On Skid Row is also available as a 30 -Day Devotional Study called Mercy Beyond Measure.  Contact "INWord" at 888-422-3060.  This is a great book for students before or after a mission trip.

MOTHER'S HOPE - A Miracle On Skid Row
by Kurt Salierno

On Mother's Day weekend I parked my truck in the worst part of Atlanta and put up my bright poster board sign that read, “Call your MOTHER on Mother’s Day – Free.” Not ten minutes later the first homeless man walked up and wanted to call his mother. Another asked if this was a joke. I assured him it was not. Before long, more homeless people, drug dealers, addicts and all kinds of people stood in a calm, orderly line - two blocks long - waiting for their chance to call their mom.

In Mother’s Hope – Miracle On Skid Row, Kurt Salierno shares true stories of the bond between mothers and their sons and daughters that powerfully stir emotions and life change. Read what happens to those who have turned their back on family responsibilities and run away, developed destructive habits, or turned to a life of crime and drugs. Mix that with the hope and prayers from your mother – your family. Ingredients for a miracle! Kurt Salierno has been a pastor to the homeless for more than 30 years.

SADDLE SOAR  by Kurt Salierno

In his last book, Living On Skid Row, Kurt Salierno captured the value of every human life and praised the endurance of the spirit. Now in his latest, Saddle Soar, Salierno shares the most intimate parts of himself; his passion, dreams and the challenges that enrich his life. Autobiographical in nature but surely a chronicle that every reader can relate to, Saddle Soar describes his thirty-day bicycle journey from Atlanta, Georgia to his hometown of Visalia, California. Kurt combined his love for bicycle riding and fundraising for the homeless.  The story not only speaks to the athletic person or avid bicycle rider, it appeals to everyone that imagines a great getaway and craves the freedom to just go.

Each day includes the adventures, intriguing characters and outlandish circumstances Salierno met along the way. Read it like a daily journal, devotional book or novelette. Feel the crisp air on your face. Zoom down the mountains. Sleep in the wild. Reach the destination with pure excitement and unconditional love. All ages of readers have been blessed by Saddle Soar.
